Mike,

MP>LOL! :D I am glad that Daryl is good-humored.

As Roger Rabbit so eloquently put it, "If you don't have a sense of
humor...you're better off dead!!".

There is so little to laugh at nowadays...you turn on the news, and
you don't know whether to cry or vomit.

When I did "The Triple Play", 3 ham radio skits on:

1) The Ham Radio Wedding
2) The Honeymoon And More
3) The 12 Days Of Hamming (Ham For The Holidays)

...there was a lot of ham radio humor and puns in the files...especially
the first two. Non-ham radio operators wouldn't have understood
it...but, to ham radio operators like Ed Vance and myself, it makes
perfect sense.

The first one unites Ham and Radio in Holy Telephony...the second one
is the first night together, and the early years of the harmonics
(hamspeak for kids)...and the last one is an overview of 12 different
things in the ham radio hobby.

Here's an excerpt from the first two...

"I now pronounce you ham and radio. You may now kiss the mic" (packet
burst...compare it to a dial-up modem connecting).

"And now, we have a report on The Honeymoon And More...on the accurate
reporting authority of (dare we say it??) a trusted group of Official
Observers".

"After turning down the lights, and putting on some soft JT-65 music,
Ham and Radio assumed positions of horizontal and vertical polarization,
as they got to intimately know each other".

(Note: JT-65 sounds like a flute, although music is prohibited on ham
radio).

"But, they had to be careful not to put the wedding gifts of Morse
Code Keyers where they would sleep. Otherwise, they would become
infested with bed bugs, and that would be a real pain in the brass".

(Note: A bug is a type of keyer, and sending Morse Code is known as
"pounding brass").

If anyone would like the entire file, please email me at wx1der at
gmail dot com -- and ask for "The Triple Play".

To Ed Vance...yes, I have too much time on my hands.

Daryl, WX1DER
