http://www.computerweekly.com/Articles/2005/12/02/213248/Novellwins%C2%A322mNHS
contract.htm

"The NHS has signed a œ22m contract with Novell to roll out a new
identity management, application management and Linux-based server
infrastructure.

The three-year contract is part of the wider NHS Connecting for Health
programme, and lets the NHS use Novell software to support the NHS’s
infrastructure, covering more than...... 600,00 workstations.

Richard Granger, director general of NHS IT said, “The deal with Novell
reduces the barriers for the NHS in using open source, as it secures access
to an enterprise-class open source platform along with, more importantly,
affordable support, maintenance and training to help our staff make the
transition.”

Under the agreement, the NHS will be able to use Novell Identity Manager
for security and access control and Novell ZENworks for managing
applications on workstations.

In addition, the NHS will also be able deploy Novell’s Linux-based Open
Enterprise Server in parts of the organisation, allowing it to gradually
migrate from its ageing Novell NetWare-based server infrastructure.

Novell will also provide consulting services and training to NHS staff."

Gosh. Well I never. Mais quelle surprise.
