AI> There was just a vote for president, but there was no vote for

ji> Did you read my comments on representative republic? People vote for
ji> and against issues every time they elect a senetor or representative,
ji> or even a school board member or county commissioner.
AI> What I am saying is those representatives are going against the will of

My point is that the will of the people is what the representatives are
supposed to be doing. If they are not then they should be voted out.
If they are not voted out, then they must be supported by the majority of
voters. If the people who are against them refuse to vote, though, then
they aren't making their wishes known.
ji> Since the majority of voters are sending conservatives to my state
ji> legislation, the lawmakers are supporting defendig the unborn.
AI> It doesn't matter to me much if the people have voted conservative or
AI> not. Those representatives are not representing the will of the people
AI> (in this matter).
See my comment above. There are vocal people that claim they aren't being
representated. It's not on those that disagree to to change the way they
vote. I'm going to continue to vote for what I support, as I expect them
to do.
AI> Actually, since Donald Trump is saying the states are now voting on it
AI> maybe there should be a vote. Was there a vote for it in Tennessee.
ji> Not on the ballet this year, becasue - again - the majority are
ji> conservative because that is what is being sent to the legislature
ji> each year.
AI> Maybe it doesn't need to be on the ballot if women already have these
AI> rights. I don't know if that is the case in in Tennesse.
What rights are you referring to? Sorry - been a bit before I could
login and do a mail run.
AI> Why does your beliefs on the matter mean more than the womans?
ji> It doesn't, but it should matter equally. The unborn hasn't reached
ji> a voting age yet, just like a toddler or teen hasn't. I'm simply
ji> expressing my desire that they not be sacrificed.
AI> If you are simply expressing your desire I have no issue.
AI> It is when demanding a woman do this or that against her own wishes
AI> that I take issue. A womand should have the right to privacy, and to
AI> make her own decisions.
Where do you draw the line though? Does that apply to doing what they
want in their own home too, even if it is affecting children in
that house?
