Not sure, just guessing.

You are mixing V7 and plain nodelists. For trouble shooting, try one after one.

Linux is case sensitive. NODELIST is not nodelist. I must have had trouble
with that, because i have symlinks in upper and lower cases to my V7
nodelist index files ({at}nodex.ndx, {at}NODEX.NDX,...).
