Hi Donna!

DR> Yours too???? SOunds like Jennifer, my 10 year old!
DR> Jennifer is picked on for anything and everything. She can be a really
DR> nice kid. One of her good friends in Girl Scouts came to me privately
DR> and said that she didn't understand why Jennifer gets picked on so
DR> much at school. She said "Jennifer really *doesn't* deserve it." I was
DR> glad to hear that, because coming from Sarah, I knew it was honest and
DR> not just something she thought would sound good.
Gee, maybe Jennifer and Mary are the same kid! This sounds a lot like
what Mary is going through. They make fun of her hair, because it looks
unbrushed (even though it was), or her dresses, or how she sits, or
wiggles or climbs... it's too bad, she's a good kid.
DR> Another thing that parks are starting to get are phone hookups, so
DR> that folks with laptops and modems can hook into phone services in
DR> much the same way as hotels and motels. The top of the line RVs are
DR> coming with phone ability, and as an option on the lesser models.
That seems kind of strange, but then again, if I was staying for a
while, I might want to be able to keep in touch with people that way.

DR> I'm glad you explained what it was...I didn't know, either. When I
DR> explained that my kids don't watch the major 4 networks, I should have
DR> explained that we don't either. We occasionally watch the local news
I didn't know what it was either. I like tv a lot, but I don't focus on
it to that extent. :)
DR> on the CBS affiliate...but not always. (I get my news from the
DR> newspaper and occasionally I turn on CNN Headline News).
I like trying to catch the news, but I miss it more often than not, and
Star Trek, and Disney's Monday night lineup. I tend to watch more tv at
night, leaving it off most of the day. We like Nick at Nite, which is a
bunch of old tv shows. It's better for families than most of the current
shows. But, we don't watch that consistantly, either. We're too busy to.
DR> watched in weeks other than CNN and Weather Channel? "30 Years of
DR> Mayberry" - TBS ran a "remember when" show about the Andy Griffith
DR> Show.
That sounds neat. Sunday night and last night, we watched "Mummies" on
A&E. I taped it so Will could see what he missed when he went to bed,
but it fits right in with his Ancient Egypt chapter of his World History
book.
