Chris, I think that I was the "Other Guy", and you seem to have got my
point exactly. I haven't taken any oath as a paramedic, but I've always
felt a responsibility to at the very least deliver my patients to the
hospital in no worse condition than I found them. Hopefully, I can make
them better, if only a little bit. That, not concern for CYA has been my
mode of operation for years. In fact, I've seen CYA stuff that is
definitely harmful to patients. Unnecessary C-Spine immobilization being
only one of them.
