DC> I don't like Zombie movies either, nor does my wife -- we
DC> both love The Walking Dead. It's more about the people and
DC> how they survive while also trying to sustain some semblance
DC> of law and order; the zombies are just what cause the
DC> situation and constant stress they live within. More of a
 DC> back drop.

Ah.. A kind of psychological approach then. But then it depends on the pace
of the series. I don't like a series that drags out the mystery for too long.
For example, I could not get into LOST despite all the hype built up around it.
Later, I learned that the ending let the fans down anyway.

DC> ... having the feeling of not being
DC> surrounded, without the expense of a lot of land, is what I
DC> like within a back yard. And, the trees help filter some of
DC> the road and siren noise that seems non-stop 2-3 blocks
 DC> away.

No street noise around here. Just birds, crickets, frogs.

I can relate to the char in Ozark who lives in the basement at his house and
has the habit of going skinny dipping in the lake. It's at *his* property
after all.

AA>> Back to films.. I would recommend the series: The
AA>> Americans. It's a spy thriller set in the Reagan era..

DC> I saw that show listed, haven't tried it yet. I'll have to
 DC> do so.

It's a very smart/intellectual series. The poker-faces of the actors as they
deal with concealing their secrets are fun to watch. The scenes of unspoken
communications are well played as well.

I just recently reviewed a couple of episodes where I left off. It is near the
end of season 2 where they deal with the "secrets" of arpanet, stealth
technology for the SR-xx bomber, and ECHO.

The ECHO scenes reminded me of echomail. I'd like to create a little mashup of
those scenes and have a little spoof on how the "secret" of echomail was
revealed to the world. LOL

DC> Have you seen Dexter? Thats another my wife and I
 DC> really enjoyed.

I heard a lot about it when it first came out. The premise intrigued me. But I
did not have access to DSL/internet as I do now. My movie + tv series
backlist is getting longer than I have time to spare for!
