That figures. I think Fidonet propagation was always a little
quirky, but with such a small echo one notices much more.

I'm slogging away on the Liavek novel. It is at least well and
truly launched now -- five chapters and counting. I'm also
thinking about a joint sequel to HILLS and WHIM, and the editor
who is reprinting the Secret Country books is actually interested
in such a weird wild object.
I'm starting to believe that the reprints will happen, and preliminary
reports of the general attitudes of the sales reps and the numbers of
orders are pretty encouraging.
My health is better. I got to cut the dosage of one of my four
blood pressure medications in half. And I'm thinking that if I
am attentive to diet and exercise, I could probably cut another
in half sometime in the next few months, or cut this one in half
again.
The income situation is pretty awful. David is working and I'm
writing, but the money is very uneven and we have an enormous
debt load, partly my medical bills and partly the result of our
habits when freelancing still brought in huge chunks of money far
apart. We'd put stuff on the cards and then pay it off as soon
as we had money, but if you get to a point where you don't have
money, this is a problem.

Yes, how's by you?
