The song "The Great Pretender" and other popular tunes during those days
I could understand the meaning of them.
I was eating at Dairy Queen recently and the songs I heard there didn't
give me any idea what the singer was trying to sing about.
All I could make out of the two songs I heard was:
"Nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah"................
When I was dating my future wife I heard her listening to a song on the
Radio and asked if she liked that song.
She told me she did.
I told her to listen to what the words were about in the tune.
She did and decided it wasn't one of her favorite songs anymore.
I have to confess about one time while we were shopping in the grocery
store when I heard the tune "In the mood" began playing, I positioned
myself under the speaker mounted in the ceiling and stood there motionless,
except for patting my foot, while I enjoyed the tune.
Guilty as charged.
