Sometimes.  But it also makes it harder to know where the waste is.

In my previous company, they wouldn't let people work from home sometimes
(which caused some quittings due to treacherous road conditions).  The reason:
Management had no idea whether you were working or goofing off (like they would
tell the same when you were in the office).

My current company has us working from home since the scamdemic.  But they can
actually measure our work and they would know if we were just goofing off
(sometimes :) ).

Back to the IRS: Knowing gov't agencies, they have no measures or way to
measure the work someone is doing.  Having them back in the office
1. Will make a bunch quit right away (probably the ones who only goof off
anyway)
2. Will make it easy to see who hangs around the break room all day.


... Money is like a promise, easier made then kept.
