Four Muslim minarets already dominate the Temple Mount, holiest 
site to Jews and Bible-believing Christians.

Plans are being drawn up, however, to build a fifth platform 
from which to sing out praises to Allah - the god of Islam.

If erected, the new minaret will stand guard over the Golden Gate 
- the sealed entrance to the mount many believe will be opened 
when Messiah comes.

Aware of this belief - which contradicts their own - Muslim 
authorities have historically taken a series of steps to thwart
such a "coming."
