I have the same type of problem. I want my printer's Courier 12 pt., but 
the merged data is in New Courier 12 pt. ( a true type font ). My work 
around is to open the data file, hilite it, then format it for my 
printer's Courier, then merge. That works, but unless I go through the 
same steps next time, I will get New Courier.
This happens only on documents that were converted from WP 5.0. I have 
no problem with documents generated from scratch in Word 6.0(c).
