I haven't read any books on searching, but I guess I have been afraid
to find out, maybe for fear of rejection, or disappointment. I know
her name, and where she is from, also have seen the adoption papers
years ago, but back in the 40's, there were a lot of shady dealings in
adoptions in NY state, so I may have bogus info.
Thanks for giving me some hope. Now that I am older, I really want to
have an identity, a nationality, and a health history. It's
frustrating not to be able to be proud of my roots. I have none.
Terry
