My BBS used to be heavy on networked message bases. Time and time again, I'd watch users check my one non-networked base and then none of the others. Long story short, they prefer local message boards. One reason is the local flavor that makes each BBS seem like a community. Big reason #2. Stuff like this. Three guesses how much of a help it was to try to convince people that they should still try to contribute to the greater BBS community. I even saw some of them posting on the Trek and Movie echos. Thanks for reminding them why they don't like it. --- RATSoft/FIDO v09.14.95 [JetMail 1.01] (1:2215/1701.0)JS> --- BBBS/Li6 v4.10 Toy-3 * Origin: The OuijaBoard - Anoka, MN * Origin: STar Fleet HQ - Atari BBS Running RatSoft ST! bbs.sfhqbbs.org:5983 |
