Yes, a ISDN TA (it's _not_ a modem, because there is no translating) is
handled the same way as a normal modem, with AT commands, the only
difference is that ISDN uses more protocols, PPP is normal for Internet
use, V.110, V.120 and X.75 is used for other data transfer, so then i poll
my boss i need to tell the TA that it should use X.75 (the best protocol
for Fidonet things).

And ofcause ISDN does allways connect with 64000 and it's connected in
about 2 seconds, the only bad thing is that a normal TA can't connection
with a normal modem, but Zyxel make a Elite 2464i, where there is a builtin
28k modem, the same did USR with the USR Courrier, it connect up to X2 with
analouge (or 33600 if no X2C is in the other end) and ISDN ofcause with
64000 :)

Most nodes have ADSL so we use IP mostly for transfering mail, but if i
hadn't ADSL i would use ISDN of the following reasons:

* Higher speed and guarented speed.
* Lower transmission tax (2 eurocent cheeper) and faster connection time
(mostly 2-5 seconds).
* Two channels, so my phone isn't busy while polling my node.

Regards,
Bo
