KJ>In bird breeding, reputation is everything, since breeders are scatter
KJ>so far apart in some places, and in others they're so close together
KJ>that competition is fierce. Potential buyers have to rely on word of
KJ>mouth. This is one of the things Adair and I mentioned when we did the
KJ>polyoma talks at clubs. If you go out of your way to keep your name
KJ>clean every way possible, then nothing you do can come back to haunt y
KJ>and hurt you later.
Boy, this is sure the truth. I'm amazed that a seller would dare take the
chance of burning a buyer. It looks like a big bird world but it is smaller
than anyone can believe. If you try hard enough you can check out almost any
breeder to make sure you're dealing with someone reputable.
The fellow who bought my baby who died from the burst blood vessel in the
brain is getting another baby gratis. I didn't HAVE to do it but reputation
is EVERYthing in the bird "business".
