->> ->> Oh, and you completely deleted the part where I pointed out that ->> ->> no one used the term "launder" or anything close to it. -> EC> Again, someone did. But it gets more interesting in this -> EC> new response, when you insist that Richard never did. If -> EC> what you are saying is true (always a long shot, -> EC> admittedly), then you are confessing that you altered one -> EC> of his posts! In September of last year you posted what -> EC> you presented as a verbatim quote, with fidonet quote -> EC> markers and all, of a post to you that referred to your -> EC> cook and your laundry. -> Do you have such a quote? You try pulling something out of an -> alleged msg of last year, and you used the term launderer. Helm -> used the word "housekeeper" The line you posted with his initials on was: > RH> that needs to tell his cook and his laundry, less starch. < You took that as a direct references to your two daughters, and you even decided WHICH ONE was referred to by one title and which one was referred to by the other, based on YOUR stereotypes. I pointed this out to you last year, and you still cannot see that the racism was in your mind. Did you lie when you posted that and claimed that he said it? Or are you lying now, when you claim he DIDN'T say it? And your attempted defense is profoundly stupid even for you. You say that you also attached a racial stereotype to the term "housekeeper." Of course you do! That was the point. Someone says "cook" and your mind immediately jumps to a specific family member. Someone says "laundry" and you do the same thing but to a DIFFERENT family member. We could go further and try to find out what nouns make you think of your little league coach or your aunt or some guy you hung out with one summer, but I don't think you want to go that deep into your psyche. You have already revealed too much about you. Also from last year: "And sometimes it is very interesting to find out what Bob sees in inkblots. Remember in Crossfire when he was railing about a person applying racial stereotypes to his daughters? In this echo, just a few days ago, he accidently posted the message he was so enraged about. RH told Bob that he should tell his cook "less starch." Bob saw the word "cook" and he took it as a reference to a family member. That was pretty strange itself. How often do you see someone think of a family member as his COOK? Stranger, though, Bob took it to mean one of his daughters rather than himself or his wife, so he may have accidentally given some insight into the family dynamics. And even stranger than that, Bob said that he has two daughters and he is absolutely sure that the "cook" reference applied to ONE of them and NOT the other. So he gave us way too much information either about his own racial stereotypes or about how he APPLIES racial stereotypes in assigning household chores. Either way, it was very strange." --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5a* Origin: FidoTel & QWK on the Web! www.fidotel.com (1:124/311) SEEN-BY: 10/1 3 14/300 34/999 90/1 106/1 120/228 123/500 134/10 140/1 226/0 SEEN-BY: 236/150 249/303 261/20 38 100 1381 1404 1406 1410 1417 1418 266/1413 SEEN-BY: 280/1027 320/119 633/260 267 712/848 800/432 2222/700 2320/100 105 SEEN-BY: 2320/200 2905/0 @PATH: 124/311 140/1 261/38 633/260 267 |
