This is an interesting point...
Search capabilities are a heck of a balance, usually. On the one hand you
want ease of use, and on the other you want powerful capabilities, and it's
no easy task to give both at the same time.
Perhaps one thing to try when looking at how this might be done is to take a
look at a lot of the "easy to use" database packages and see what they offer
in this regard. It might be a good source for some ideas, anyhow.
Perhaps it would even be possible to use one of the database doors that are
out there to implement what you want, they might already even have the
capability built in that you're looking for. Getting a list of tagged files
passed back to max would be a neat trick, too.
