I am taking a trip to NY around 09/08/2008.

We will be down a good 24 hours at that time. My friend in NY has Vocal
Chord Cancer and needs help.

Being the good guy and true friend i am, I am heading up there to help her
out. I will be there 6-8 weeks and plan on hooking the BBS back up when i
get there.

The internet connection she has blocks port 80 and a lot of other ports. I
will have to assign another port for web access to the bbs. Please see
www.docsplace.org after the 9th of September to log into the bbs through
the web interface. Telnet should not be effected, but things could have
changed since last year.

For those of you that didn't know, I divorced my wife last July but we got
back together last August and tried to make it work. She slipped and fell
in our apartment in March and died of a hemotoma resulting from the fall. I
set up a memorial site at www.dduecker.org to honor her. Her birthday is
coming up on Monday.

I keep the BBS up for those of you that enjoy it, I'm guilty of not logging
in often and checking on things but what can i say.. I also ditched my
primary email address because of spam but can be reached at
ed.koon{at}docsplace.org if anyone can't connect to the bbs contact me there.

I think this is one of the longest running Internet BBS's around! And i
thank all of you who help keep it going :)
