I'm new using Access and I have either overlooked the info I'm
looking for, or just don't know where to look.
I'm building a table of customers (and several other tables in the
database) and want a unique identifier for each one (customer). I'm presently
looking at an ID field in the customer table which automatically increments
with each new customer. I would like to start at, say, 10000 and increment
from there, but autonumber seems to only start at 0.
Alternatively, I could use the random number format, but I don't want
to use negative numbers, plus I would like to keep it to 7 or less digits
where random generates 9 (I think) plus the minus sign (-) where applicable.
Any help including alternative methods or ideas are appreciated.
Regards..........
