No offense taken... I don't see why there would be.

I was just pointing out that if this echo were gated with the
Ele mailing list, that it wouldn't fly on that end as far as any
questions pertaining to Ele, as any questions about EleWEB in
the EleBBS list -always- result in the person being directed the EleWEB
list... works the other way too.

As to my comment above, I just said that *I* have no inerest in EleWEB or
starting an echo for it, but, it would be a lovely thing if somebody else
did.

AFAIK, you could simply put the echotag in the echolist, and seek
distribution by the backbones.  I forget the URL for the echolist that
gives all the info you need to know, but I'll check on it later if nobody
puts it up in here first.

Judging by my end, 2/3 of the echoes that exist now could be dropped, and
nodody would notice.  The tags are listed, they are on the backbone, but
nary a message ever hits them... ever.  As to old ones that have dropped,
they likely had zero traffic for a very extended period of time...  If you
wanted echoes brought back, you could simply list them, if a placeholder
tag doesn't exist, but getting traffic to them would be an entirely
different story. What can you do?  Just the way it is.
