Second from the bottom item:

    Hide extensions for known file types

You want to *untick* that one, and click Apply.
I usually go up to the "Apply to Folders" button
and apply the style to all the folders afterwards,
so I can see the file extensions everywhere.

Microsoft really shouldn't hide the extensions
by default.
