MA>>> I do know that during a high Manic depressives
MA>>> will often be at their best at what they are good at but then fall
 MA>> into a
 MA>>> heap or develope psychosis.

 SK>>> That's not true.

 MA>> Yes it is.

 SK>> Sorry, but no.

SK>> Again, it's an affective disorder. One's AFFECT is "different".
SK>> And my AFFECT is that I'm somewhat hyper.

MA> I used the phrase "often be at their best at what they are good at but
MA> then fall into a heap or develope psychosis." This doesn't imply that
MA> it always takes the same path or that it is neccassaraly the only form
 MA> manic depresion takes.

Back pedal all you wish, son.

Manic/depression isn't a psychotic disorder.
It happens that people can have multiple diagnosis.
I don't.

 MA>> The word is "dythymic"

SK>> And your spell correcting means you are in my head?

MA> No, it means I've been in the dictionary.

And I made a spelling error. Yes, even _I_ have an error rate!

I figured that that is where you get your self imposed authority on the
subject. Myself, I've simply got a college education in the social
sciences. I'm 4 units away from an A.A. degree. You see, I took psych
classes as electives when going for my A.A. degree in Computer Electronics.
Hey, better than basket weaving!

But please DO continue evaluating people's psychological states and
conditions via Funk & Wagnalls. It's a larf!

SK>> I have a purpose in everything I do (shit, even when I'm drunk I'm
SK>> honest!). Unlike most of the people I encounter.

MA> Some people take offence at honesty in others. They themselves prefer
MA> to go along with safe accepted consensus. In short they have never had
MA> an original idea in their lives and are as boring as bat shit.

Don't make me like you. ;)

SK>> (please note that alcohol is a depressent, so it helps)

MA> It helps you (or so you think).

I'd prefer weed. But then my wife of 30 years and I didn't have any kids,
so we can't ax them to pick some up for us.

And I KNOW it helps ME...it just don't help thin skinned fucks that I encounter.

MA> Whilst alcohol is an immediate relieve it can cause more damage than
 MA> it does good.

That's why one must "craft their buzz". ;)

Milk Thistle is a great dietary supplement, BTW.

MA> In severe cases it can exacerbate the downward swing and induce alcoholic
MA> depression that can at times lead to suicide.

There you go with your dictionary again.

SK>> If I were psychotic I'd have no interest in justice nor would I have
SK>> the ability to offer a cogent argument. I can do both.

MA> I didn't say you were psychotic, I said you are lacking self control.

The inference was there.
And "the lack of self control" is just your perception of what is
"proper" as compared to the general Zeitgeist.

I'm an Iconoclast. I don't do near anything the way others do.

 SK>> What's your excuse?

 MA> For what?

For attacking Ross? For "anal"izing me? For your own obvious
"lack of self control"? You know...that "stuff". ;)

Did you simply fall out of bed one day and decide to be a judgmental ass?

I SUSPECT that you are doing what I do, albeit in a different way.
(not TOO different, BTW)

MA>> Typically you are at the high of the conditions
MA>> cycle and will probably soon fall into a state of despondency.

SK>> Thanks for telling me about myself.

 MA> No worries. I don't charge.

If you did you'd be sued for malpractice.

SK>> Soon you will turn off your computer and pick up a gay mag and whack
 SK>> off!

MA> This Is what you call "making people think"?

It was a merely an offering of an analogy, an rhetorically offered example
of "some of the same".

MA> Ok, it makes me think you are shallow-witted clown.

'Tis true, I didn't look it up in a dictionary.

MA>> It appears your medication isn't working.

SK>> Did I state that I was taking meds? :)

MA> You have indicated you use alcohol as a medication.

I use alcohol. And I'd hardly call it medication.

But people ARE said to "self-medicate" with alcohol.
So you got me there.

Although I offered same AFTER your statement. Thus, it's obvious you meant
pharmacological medications.

 MA> It's not working. :-)

You're obviously incorrect. For I'm dealing with you quite well and
reasonably. And I'm even able to give you a point when you make one.
What's not working about that, Professor?

Are you Mike Matzdodre, BTW?
Your self educated authority mixed with inability for compassion makes me wonder.

If not...what the fuck happened to that self righteous tool?
Just wondering.
