The 709 had very low input noise. You're right about it picking up rfi, and the latchup problem made it just ugly. The main problem with the 709 was that it had a very low slew rate and suffered from a lot of output crossover distortion. Good thing the 5532 came along as it could even be used as line driver. However the 5532 is prone to oscillation in some circuits. WC> You're right, never heard of a 811. It could be a misprint or house number? Mike **** ...
