-> -> The effect of Kyoto would be to reduce warming by .04 degrees Celsius in -> -> the year 2100. Even if the US had signed. -> Stabilized by 2100, way too late. -> We're already seeing unprecedently larger and more frequent -> hurricanes in the Gulf of Mexico. -> Got one now in fact. Oh please. People think of global warming as if there were no disasters before it. Climate has always been violent in different parts of the world. We have been through more violent upheavels in the past 150 years than the previous 350 years to that. We had the most stable climate (relatively) in the past few decades than preceding eras despite increases in the greenhouse effect. In short, there is no evidence that global warming is a bad thing. That's media hype. A closer bit of evidence is the Milankovitch theory. Climate can get more chaotic due to changes in the proximity and relative position of the Earth to the Sun. Kyoto won't accomlish anything. --- Jitender Saan* Origin: Try Our Web Based QWK: DOCSPLACE.ORG (1:123/140) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 5030/786 @PATH: 123/140 500 106/2000 633/267 |
