From: Garey Barrell Subject: Re: [drakelist] B-1000 Balun Garey Barrell made an utterence to the drakelist gang ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Mike - The B-1000 was apparently sold in such small quantities that today it brings prices all out of proportion to it's value and original price of $24.95. It's just a toroidal 4:1 "current" style balun that was included inside many antenna tuners sold in the era. I guess Drake thought hams weren't using balanced antennas any more (probably close to the truth at the time), and allowed them to reduce the price of the tuner by about 10%. A picture can be found at http://www89405.temp.w1.com/DrakeEquipment/Equip_B1000.htm> The three holes in the PC board match up with the output terminals on the MN-7 / 2700 tuners. 73, Garey - K4OAH Atlanta Mike Williams wrote: > Does anyone have any information on the B-1000 balun?
