Not overly hard to tell. In simplistic terms it goes something like
this : Without "guidance" problems and not a lot of "solutions".
With "guidance" and lots of probable "solutions".
In addition when one gets answers on "inner" levels they tend to be
more optimistic than they were before. So they should be. They have
been given possible solutions they now only need to act on their
"inner feelings" and things should work out okay.

That's life. Sometimes we need to trust other people. Not all people
are untrustworthy.

Don't you get paid when you go to work ? Why shouldn't other people
get paid ?

The ones who pass a series of "tests" you apply.

You can learn things from "wrong" teachers. How could you hope to
relate to "normal" people if you never made any mistakes yourself ?
>A person could get real messed up just investigating.
Yep. But only if one didn't do things properly. For example some of
the things you would do would be to check out the teacher and/or
students of his/hers before paying out any larger sums of money.
Most genuine teachers will give free, or inexpensive, lectures to
prospective students to help them to "evaluate" them. :-)
Learning about and applying psychic protection techniques would help
you. Also, directing light at your possible teacher helps. If he/she
doesn't like that then they are the wrong teacher for you. :-)
Asking your guides for help in this would also be an idea. You might
also find something to help you at my Vicnet home page.
Regards, John.
