     I suppose you are only "telling it like it is".  However, I think SSB 
operation on 50.100 is a poor idea if it is the top of a CW-only band 
segment.  There is a chance your frequency measurements could be a little 
off, as well as a probability of some residual lower sideband being 
present in the output of your rig.  Could you have meant 50.110 instead?
     During a recent band opening, I overheard a comment that 50.100 was a 
CW calling frequency, which makes more sense.
