and that was a mistake, as was us not furthering assistance to the Afghans
after the Soviets left, as was our retreat in Somalia following the
blackhawk incident.

What do you think it was that emboldens terrorists? If their tactics can be
proven effective, then they shall keep doing it. The Israelis found that
out the hard way when they honored the demands of airplane hijackers, many
years ago.
