the benefits of Denver being dry (and it is, very) are probably cancelled by
it being so high...
though after you've been here a while, taking a hike anywhere lower is a
breeze  Glide right on past those other ppl heaving and panting for air

The northern part of Nevada is quite nice -- say up around Tahoe and Reno.
Southern NV (Vegas) is the desolate part. There's "hot and dry" and then
there's Vegas which thought the prescription said "Melt the flesh from their
bones and sear their lungs" though that's mainly in summer. (9months of the
year)

We lived in Tucson for a year -- hot and dry. I liked Tucson though... still
desert, but a little more forest-like in its desertness than So. NV
I hear it's much more lush around Phoenix, and then there's Scottsdale which
I've heard is quite nice. Though, like you said... gotta have a job there or
what's it matter? Good luck to them...
