It is one hullofa OS. I like it because it has both a powerfull command
shell and a pretty desktop. Quite a few desktops actually. If you don't
like Gnome you can use KDE. There are quite a few others also but I haven't
delved into them at all. I like KDE myself and sometimes use Gnome.

HTML I know (at least basicly) but I'm lost on the others. I do see that
stuff thrown around on the lists though so it's in use in *nix too.

Linux is so flexible though that at times it's hard to tell just what
direction to go but I just keep plugging along.
