well, there's no protocols that support this, and most people have the same 
idea on it as you do (or as you do later in this message anyways) that it can 
wait till they're done.

well, that would have to be programmed in to MaxEd directly (read: Maximus) 
as you can't modify maxed that much. Perhaps eventually i will program my own 
external one, and make it report that, as well as making quoting easier than 
maxed (tho i'm used to it anyways) and add support for user-specific sigs / 
preferences etc. But that's just an idea, and it will probably end up being 
one of the many half finished projects i have going at any one time.. :)

cuz it has to be specially programmed for Major BBS, and the authors of it 
know that Major BBS'es charge for users, so they have money to spend - so the 
authors can ask for more :) I would, if i programmed for Major BBS.

use Aliases. Or get a nicer chat program. I tried one out called Zchat i 
believe, it was pretty cool. Has support for multiple 'rooms' and user info 
dialogues that other users can see, actions, and stuff like that.
imho, the CB-chat really isn't very great at all :) a pretty basic chat
