But see my other posting. Perhaps I can filter "double" postings
for the fido-site in a different way at the gate.

No, but .......

I don't think this will happen. Spam in fido echo's is very very very
occasionally. If there is any spam in fido echo's it's mostly comming from
the internet site (mailinglists/newsgroups) which are gated. We don't like
that and if there is lots of spam comming through a gate, gating is mostly
stopped.

On the other hand, if someone is really spamming writing off-topic messages
on a regular base, we have also or rules and ways to block that out. Fido
echo's are moderated and if someone is not acting according to the rules
for an echo, we are able to block access to the echo. But also those
actions are used very occasionally. Most of us fido-posters know how to
behave. :-)
