Yeah i know, I've tried several ways and they always loose their
crunch. I guess the commercial companies that freeze veggies can
do things you can't duplicate at home.  One book suggested
spreading them out on a tray in the freezer and freezing them
like that before packing...more work and same results!

Oh that sounds bad!  I don't think they've arrived over here!
Thank goodness.   I have seen a couple of plants that had been
eaten, and the damage didn't look like worms and I wondered about
grasshopper, but just a stray one or two, not en masse!
