the robot does gmail? that's a new one on me ;)

can you say if the robot has figured out how to determine the proper name
for *emailed* rules updates that contain the rules in the message instead
of attached to the message?? the problem i ran into in the past was that
while i was sending updates for (eg:) PASCAL_LESSONS with a rules file name
of PASSLESS.RUL, the robot was extracting them to a file named
PASCAL_LESSONS.RUL... then, to complicate matters, the database entry was
truncated at 8.3 and there was no way for one to tell the robot to remove
the file name that was listed because it couldn't locate the file by that
name...

i haven't looked in a (long) while but the last time i had looked, the
rules files hadn't been purged since their last update over 6 months
previous... i stopped sending rules file updates and stopped listing a
rules file name in my mod updates but that didn't seem to help, either...

i know there's also rules entries for echos in which the moderator left a
long time ago and new moderators, while having update their rules in the
echo have not sent rules to the robot... so those really old rules files
are still in place instead of having been purged as well...
