-=> Jay Emrie said to Greg Mayman -=> about "SILICON CHIP ON LINE" on 03-16-04 21:08..... GM>But there is a realtime clock module - "DALLAS DS1287 REAL TIME 9026B3". JE> That IS the clock AND the battery!! Go hereto learn more: JE> http://www.maxim-ic.com/appnotes.cfm/appnote_number/769/ln/en Thanks, Jay. I've now checked out that site. It looks as though the 12887 _might_ be a replacement for this module, if I had one. I shall try cutting the case open to see whether I can access the batteries and replace them, otherwise it goes for spare parts... although the only bits I could use are the HDD and the ribbon cables. The FDD has a non-standard mounting. The case and p/s are non-standard. The memory SIMs are non-standard, and most of the other stuff is hard soldered on the motherboard :-(((( ,-./\ / \ From Greg Mayman, in beautiful Adelaide, South Australia \_,-*_/ "Queen City of The South" 34:55 S 138:36 E v ___ Blue Wave/386 v2.30 --- FLAME v2.0/b* Origin: Braintap BBS Adelaide Oz, Internet UUCP +61-8-8239-0497 (3:800/449) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 800/449 432 633/260 261/38 123/500 106/2000 633/267 |
