I probably would not use it on a production server. If you are willing to
undertake a migration to NW 4, then it is a good place to start. If, on the
other hand, you know that you are not migrating to NW 4, then I don't see any
point to having one NW 4 machine amid a sea of NW 3 machines.
An exception is if you run software, such as GroupWise 5, that requires an
NDS locus somewhere. Then you can use your little NW 4 server for this
purpose.
I don't recommend using NT for TCP/IP-based services, but a lot of people do
that and they suffer as a result. There's no need to rehash that again.
It might be worth your time to set up that NW 4.11 as an experimental server,
especially since you can host web sites and so similar tricks with it. You
may also get a feeling for how NDS works, allowing you to better evaluate
your options for a more widespread NW 4 upgrade.
