Assuming you have a NDS compliant program, there are two types of resources
to be backed up. One is the actual file systems. The other is the NDS tree
itself. An NDS compliant backup program will hand the tree backup without
problems.
One comment; restoring an NDS tree from backup tape is not for the faint of
heart. Novell strongly recommends you have multiple servers and replicate
NDS between the servers. You never have to recover NDS from tape with
replication.
