KB>I just saw a message that the RCM echo may fall off Fido Backbone
KB>distribution due to lack of traffic. I don't want that to happen.
KB>Please you guys, say something; don't wait for the Car Kids to go
KB>back to school. I hereby apologize for contributing to this
KB>problem by only lurking so I'll make amends with a question and
KB>maybe a thread:
KB>I'm new to RC planes having burned a total of only 1.5 gallons of
KB>fuel in my Tower Trainer 40. Lately I've been practicing touch
KB>and go's and have improved my landing technique to the point that
KB>I only have to straighten the nosewheel strut after every 4th or
KB>5th landing. Unfortunately I augered-in the trainer the other
KB>day so now I'm in the market for another plane. My instructor
KB>suggested I might want to step up to something a bit more advanced
KB>like a Big Stik but I think the Super Sportster looks a lot better
KB>and I don't mind paying the extra $30. I'm acquainted with
KB>taildragger foibles having learned to fly 20 years ago in full
KB>size Taylorcrafts, Cubs, etal. Of course, I'll concede the models
KB>are a lot different. Should I choose prudence with the Big Stik
KB>or vanity with the Super Sportster? Or maybe something else?
KB>When I ask my instructor for advice on the choice he just grins
KB>mischievously and says either one. I rather not invest a lot of
KB>time building (or repairing) it so an ARF is slightly preferred.
Say Kelly, When i started flying, I found that a more maneverable plane
was an advantage. I found that it could get me out of trouble very
quickly. I think the Super Sporster is a great plane. I have one and it
is eady to fly. I would go with it.Keep me posted C ya
