CJ's abuse started before she was born.. her mother was brought home before
she foaled suffering from malnutrition.. I ended up getting a picture of CJ
one day old when I back tracted her Dam's owner to confirm the abuse. I put
Tush picture alongside CJ's and Tush at 6 hours old looks like a healthy
foal.. CJ didn't..

I believe it's unwise to start retraining a horse mouth in a large enough
area for the horse to take advantage.. start small and work up.. and you'd
also have to know that I live in Los Angeles.. we do not have "pastures".

I'm well aware.. I've re-worked many a mouth... and many a crazy horse.

No, the horse should be educated to cue off the seat.. NOT to depend on the
bit. I do not like a horse that has to depend on the bit... I do not believe
that the bit should be used for control.. except in emergency.. a horse
should be properly trained..

I prefer never to go past a snaffle except for a bosal and a very very mild
sweetwater curb bit for show.

Which horse??

Yep you have.. the most fun in this section was in 91 when Meg and I were
going through our last hard core show years.. what a hoot! :)
> (And, NO, I do not pretend to know it all! I
Neither do I.. but that's why I love horses.. always something to learn.
always a challenge.
