Misuse of spaghetti noodles can be dangerous.  That's not the point.  The 
POTENTIAL for misuse of guns is HIGH, given their rather narrow design focus.

No.  The EFFECT of firing a gun is the emission of one or more projectiles.
The DESIGNED PURPOSE of a gun is to KILL.  Or do you honestly wish to argue 
that guns were invented by people for the pleasure of target shooting?
I know what you're trying to argue; its the old byline of 'Guns don't kill 
people, People kill people'.  Its a valid argument, no doubt about it.
Its just not particularly relevant.
Bottom line:  You have no need to own a gun, esp. in America.  Some of the 
northern parts of Canada and Alaska, a case could be made.  Middle of a city? 
Not a chance.
