BA>MH>I bought the Giant 22 incher, 21 speed. The only thing I don't like
BA>MH>is the hard d*mn seat. My crotch is catching H*ll one long rides.
BA>MH>Also the ride seems to be a lot harsher than my old ten speed road
BA>MH>bike.
BA>In that case the seat is probably too low for you. If it is fitted
BA>correctly most of your weight will actually be on the pedals (where it can
BA>do some good) and you will not have that much weight on the seat. Turn the
BA>pedals upside down so there is a flat surface on the top and, seated on
BA>the bike with someone else holding it, try to put your heels on the
BA>pedals. Your lower leg should be totally straight when the pedal is at the
BA>bottom of the stroke. This way, when your toes are properly on the pedals,
BA>you will have the optimum knee bend. If your seat is really low you might
BA>have to raise it incremenatally so you can get used to it.

I have the seat height correct. My problem was tire air pressure. I am
now using the minimal, instead of maximum air pressure. The ride
comfort is much more tolerant now.
