      There are other virus scanners than norton out there.  Ones that don't
screw up, and put an excessive load on the system resources.


      Only if, like me, you run OS/2, is it safe to not use a virus scanner.
And even then, I'm not so sure as most connecting to my OS/2 system do run windoze.
