I've always fed my cats dry cat food. Two of them - both males - developed
a urinary blockage (presumably kidney stones or equivalent). Apparently they
didn't drink enough water and the salts accumulated. The cat I still have (since
2000) has always had dry cat food (occasionally a can for special treat), but she's
never had the problem.
