One of the big problems with any tech manual is the poor quality of the 
index.

Yes.. it is the only FTP client I use (except the occasional web explorer 
download). It will automaticly log me into the last directory I was at on any 
site I have been to before. I like it alot.

So configure FiFTP to NOT delete some files, make a second config for your 
personal files (those that you will delete). It sounds like FiFTP will in 
fact do what you need to do. Ask for assistance in the FiFTP echo/mailing 
list or email me privately with specific questions.
