The literature we got said it was at "the hotel"...but I will let you know.

Sounds good to me. I have printed out all this wonderful information, and
will stick it inside the California Tour Book and Mother Lode Country map
that AAA gave us.

Kristin might like that. They studied Indians this past year, so it would
make a good supplement to what she studied in school.

My kids have played in the snow, but probably by August most of it will be
gone. We want to go up to Lake Tahoe anyway - none of us have been there.

I don't think we really want to go into Sacramento or Stockton at all. We'd
rather not hit cities.

Columbia State Historic Park? I don't want to miss that.

It won't be until the end of August, but I will definitely give you a report!
We already have a campsite reservation for part of the trip. Thanks to my
parents, we are able to use AdventureOutdoorResort and
AdventureCampingNetwork campgrounds at extremely reduced rates. Our first
reservation is in Pollock Pines (on Rt. 50 east of Placerville), for a
weeklong stay there at an AOR resort. We will probably get a 4 night stay in
Angels Camp with an ACN site, since we cannot stay at two AOR resorts in a
row.
Thanks so much for all of your great information!
