  If it's genuine and you do decide to strip it down.  Check
  out some carvers and see if anyone is interested in carving
  it?  I would love a key to try my hand at carving it.

  I had one of those years back.  I left it in an apartment I
  moved out of because I couldn't deal with moving it again.
