I just posted my choice for this month to ALL.
If you don't happen to see it I shall relay info to you as well.
I wanted to make this a simple block so I picked a 9-patch variation.
The corners are 4-patches and the rest of the block is the usual.
It is sewn so that the block looks like a large X.
The size is 12 1/2" unfinished with white background  and blue as the
other color. The blue forms the "X" in the pattern.
You will need 3 white 4 1/2" squares, 1 blue 4 1/2" square,
              8 white 2 1/2" squares, 8 blue 2 1/2" squares.
              Make 4-patches with the smaller squares and sew up as
              a regular 9-patch.
