That will be a fine day. We are all mixed here, and the lines of division just
get sillier and sillier as time goes on. At work there is this whole language
thing -- and really DUMB mistakes hapen: a little girl was assigned to
Spanish, she spoke Italian, I caught on when she was talking about "cocina
(co-china)" -- her "mama" was in the "co--china".
A little Russian boy got
caughtup in that, too. Everyone assumened that he was some sort of European,
(he was from Crimea) and didn't want to give him ELL services because his
family "had other resources". They are stuggling as is everyone
else. Kids on
the playfield were taunting a little Indian (as in India) for being a "Fake
African-American", because he was darker than most of the Black students.
What a disaster! Well, another year, a few more dragons slain. My contract
for next year has been submitted, and they are talking about seriously changing
my position -- more responsibility, more money. I want to do this, and I have
all appendages crossable crossed. Lezlie
