"Gary Poland" made an utterence to
the drakelist gang

Originally there were two nets, the current Sunday 40 meter net and a 20
meter net during the week, Thursday I think it was. Anyway it was short
lived as propagation and QRM were a factor and the few times I checked in
there were very few checkins. The net controllers for the 20 meter net
eventually gave up for one reason or another. The reason the current Drake
net is still going is because we have had good success on 40. There are
checkings as far away as Florida, Iowa, Georgia, Connecticut, New York,
South Carolina, and Ontario. Regardless of what band is used someone will
always be left out.
